Imagine if Disney characters had their very own tiny homes? What would a tiny house look like for Woody, Elsa, Belle, or even Jack Skellington? What if our favourite Disney characters embraced the minimalist lifestyle and joined the tiny house movement.

Tiny Houses: Disney-Themed Wonders Of Design

Partly inspired by Lester Walker’s 1987 book ‘Tiny Houses’, this blossoming culture of homes no bigger than 300 square feet is aimed at saving money and reducing waste. Not exactly priorities in the worlds our Disney heroes inhabit, but hey, it’s 2020 and even real-life royalty are downsizing their palaces in search of simpler lives.

The team re-watched their favourite Disney movies to get the most nuanced, accurate hints of what the Disney characters’ home style choices would be in terms of both architecture and interior design.

Tiny Houses: Disney-Themed Wonder: Elsa's Tiny Home (Frozen)

Interior, blue, tiny house

Princess Elsa's home is a gorgeous A-frame cabin nestled in snowy woods. In contrast, the interior is light, spacious and decorated in pastel hues of blue and purple, and comes complete with a stunning bookshelf.

Tiny Houses: Woody's Tiny Home (Toy Story)

wooden, glass elevated tiny house, nature

Woody's home is a modern cabin at the foothills of a mountain. The interior is rustic with a touch of luxury and features a chandelier made from antlers. The perfect home for any cowboy (or cowgirl).

Disney-Themed Wonders Of Design: Mulan's Tiny House

Asian-inspired and beautifully zen, Mulan's gorgeous home comes with amazing views and has a fresh, modern interior.

Wonders Of Design: Belle's Tiny Home (Beauty and the Beast)

House, white, small, forest, flowers outside window

It's a humble abode with a rustic exterior, however the interior of Belle's tiny home is fit for a princess with floor-to-ceiling windows, elegant fittings and plenty of books as well as a decent-sized kitchen.

Tiny Houses: Disney-Themed Wonder Of Design: Merida (Brave)

Interior A shaped tiny house, chimney, windows

Just like Elsa, Merida has a rustic A-frame cabin for her tiny home, however that's where the similarities end. The interior is minimalist and heavy on wood, perfect for the no-muss, no-fuss, fearless archer.

A shaped tiny house, 2 fllors, windows, forest

Tiny house: Jack Skellington (The Nightmare Before Christmas)

A shaped wooden tiny house, trees, lamp

Jack's tiny log cabin house is suitably spooky both inside and out, replete with carved pumpkin lantern!
